Duke Energy has
intensified their preparations for the arrival of Hurricane Hermine and the
storms possible effects. By applying lessons learned from prior storms, the
energy company has opened their system storm center, and are finalizing
resource needs, mobilizing equipment, establishing staging sites, setting up
logistics for crews and are coordinating with state emergency management
officials.

lines are currently open in the event of a loss of power due to the storm.
