A
South Florida couple who described themselves as being unique and wanting to do
something out of the ordinary traveled 332 miles from Bradenton to
Apalachicola to get married.
Both
first time visitors to the beautiful Historic City of Apalachicola, newlyweds
Jerry and Olivia Nelson took to the Internet in search of that special place to
tie the knot when they stumbled upon the Forgotten Coast.
After conducting an extensive internet research on the area the
couple reached out to Apalachicola Mayor Van Johnson and asked for use of his office to exchange their wedding vows. Johnson complied, and in a private ceremony held Friday morning inside the Mayor's office the couple got married. Their plans now are to return
to Bradenton with the good news followed by a wedding reception with family and
friends.
