Franklin County Tourist Development Council seeks proposals from Videographers

REQUEST FOR VIDEO SUBMISSIONS

The Franklin County Tourist Development Council (FCTDC), is seeking proposals from videographers and individuals to create a library of videos of seafood and tourism industry related scenes and activities.

This is an effort to obtain a series of 30 second to 2 minute video representations of key attractions and sites in Franklin County that enhance the county’s brand as a family/pet friendly maritime oriented visitor destination. These stories should capture the culture and heritage of Franklin County for the purpose of marketing in the county’s cultural and heritage tourism program. The project involves contracting with one or more videographers to shoot videos of fishermen actively harvesting, crabs, oysters, the shelling relay program, shrimp, clams, scallops and finfish within Franklin County. The images should also include cooking and presentation shots of seafood delicacies as well as nature-based images and tourism activities of the area.

Once complete, the library will be uploaded to the Franklin County Tourist Development Council website (www.saltyflorida.com) where they will be available for media use and to further the marketing efforts of the FCTDC and its partners. In addition videos will be utilized in a variety of internet based marketing efforts to promote visitors to Franklin County.
  • Video should include, but not be limited to the following:
  • Commercial seafood activities
  • Recreational fishing activities
  • Natural resources
  • Natural, historic and cultural events and activities
  • Beach and beach recreation
  • Local tourism events
  • Videos produced in response to this request should be a minimum of 1080x1920 resolution
Interested videographers may submit proposals for a single project or may submit a proposal for a variety of experience options. Utilization of drone technology is encouraged as a means of conveying a message for communities and events. It shall be required that the TDC shall receive rights for use to all videos purchased and that all appropriate signed waivers shall accompany the videos if such videos include images of recognizable persons. All videos shall be delivered in a high definition digital format and each clip shall be labeled by area and/or subject.

Videographers should respond to this request by January 1, 2016 at 5:00 P.M. to the Administrative office of the FCTDC at 731 Highway 98, Eastpoint, Florida 32328 attention Laura Graham or laura@saltyflorida.com and should include the following information:
  • Name, address and contact numbers and email addresses
  • Cost per day to include estimated number of videos or subjects
  • Availability time frame
  • Either a sample portfolio or a link to digital portfolio
The TDC may negotiate with videographers as to price and scheduling.
All contracted video services must be complete by May 20, 2016. The TDC reserves the right to contract with one or more videographers for specific additional materials.

The FCTDC reserves the right to accept or reject any proposal. The FCTDC may select portions of work from various providers in order to meet promotional objectives. Proposals should be good for at least thirty (30) days.
