Historic Apalachicola Main Street hosted the statewide Florida Main Street quarterly winter meeting today inside the Battery Park Community Center in Apalachicola. In attendance were 55-60 Main Street directors, along with their staff, and board members from around the Great State of Florida, as far away as St. Petersburg, in Pinellas County.
The two day meeting in Apalachicola will provide an immediate economic boost to the community, impacting local restaurants, motels and gas stations.
The Historic City of Apalachicola
is already known nationally as a distinctive destination for vacation goers and couples seeking to get married. Thanks in part to the efforts of the Historic Apalachicola Main Street Program, Apalachicola now may become known as a destination for regional meetings,
workshops and conferences.
