Have a Safe and Happy Thanksgiving Day Weekend

Dear Friends,

Each and every day God grants each of us so much to be truly thankful for within our respective communities, our families and in our personal lives. Even in the midst of uncertainty and confusion there's always that glimmer of hope that pierces through it all to give us the assurance that God is in control of our circumstances.

As you are celebrating this year's Thanksgiving with family and friends and reflecting upon God's many blessings in your lives, please take a moment to pray for unity, peace, love and understanding for all the people of our great nation. Prayerfully asking “our Father who art in heaven” to give hope to those that are without hope that are overly gripped in despair over the cares and concerns of this world.

I thank you and I find it a great honor and a privilege to serve the people as mayor of the Great City of Apalachicola. From the Johnson family to yours, have a safe and happy Thanksgiving Day weekend.

With warm regards,
Van W. Johnson, Sr., Mayor
The Historic City of Apalachicola
