On the return trip home Friday from the Water Resource Management and Economics Conference held in Phenix City, Alabama on October 22-24, 2014. Accompanied by Apalachicola City Administrator Betty Webb, we stopped by the Jackson County, Florida home of some of my relatives to introduce Betty to some real, down home cooking Jackson County style. Arguably it was some of the best soul food to ever cross her palate because she couldn't stay out of the kitchen.
My hats off to first cousins Sandra Bell, Jeanie Pollock, William Pollock and Willie Pollock for their Jackson County hospitality, fellowship and a spread without doubt learned in the kitchen of Viola Pollock our maternal grandmother from Bascom.
