Apalachicola Police Officer Timothy Davis responded to a single vehicle traffic accident at 230 U.S. 98 in front the Apalachicola Auto Parts NAPA Store around 2:30pm today.
A westbound 2000 Black Mercedes Benz driven by Corky Dykes of Apalachicola was in the process of making a left turn to park in front of the NAPA store when the brakes on his vehicle failed.
The crash caused significant damage to the exterior wall of the store, penetrating well into the interior of the building. No one was injuried during the accident.
