On Wednesday, July 14, from 4:00PM to 6:00PM, Florida state senator Alfred "Al" Lawson, Jr., will be at the Franklin County Courthouse Annex – 34 Forbes Street responding to the growing frustration among fishermen and other residents of Franklin and Wakulla Counties interested in participating in BP’s Vessels of Opportunity program (VOO).
On hand to assist those experiencing difficulties in joining the program will be a team of BP representatives in charge of the VOO, as well as officials from the US Coast Guard and Florida Wildlife Commission.
Following the meeting, Lawson will gather at 6:00PM with friends and supporters for a meet and greet at the Water Street Hotel and Marina located in Apalachicola’s historic waterfront district - 329 Water Street.
