The
Apalachicola Board of City Commissioners will hold a final public hearing for
the 2016-2017 city budget on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 to give final
approval. The city’s fiscal year begins October 1, so the budget must be
approved prior to that time. The public
hearing is set for 6:00 p.m. inside the Battery Park Community Center at 1 Bay Avenue in Apalachicola.
Following the Public Hearing will be a Special Meeting, which will include an
adoption decision on both the millage rate and the budget, along with a
discussion on surveying the city’s historic squares.
