Supportive Services for Veteran Families

Veterans in Franklin, Gadsden, Jefferson, Leon, Liberty, Madison, Taylor, and Wakulla Counties in need of supportive services can now call “Family Endeavors” in addition to their local Veterans Service Office.

Family Endeavors “Supportive Services for Veterans Families (SSVF)” is a “help up” not a “hand out” program that first focus on housing and then set strategies for long term success for Veterans and their families.

This Community Based Services program offers Homelessness Prevention & Stabilization Services to Veterans and their families, which include emergency financial assistance, which may include rent, utility, deposits, bus fare, limited legal assistance, and budget and housing counseling along with outreach, case management, help in obtaining VA benefits and referrals to community agencies.

The services are provided to Veterans honorable or other than honorable discharged, very low income Veteran families, Veterans facing eviction and Veterans currently homeless and scheduled to move into housing within 90 days or have become homeless in the past 90 days.

These Supportive Services for Veteran Families are generously funded by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. For more information please contact, Lena D. Lewis, Lead Outreach Intake Specialist at (850)225-1576 or via email at llewis@familyendeavors.org or visit their website at www.familyendeavors.org.
