REQUEST FOR BIDS AND NOTICE OF BID OPENING PUBLIC MEETING


Sealed bids will be received by the City of Apalachicola for the construction of the Project described as follows: City of Apalachicola CDBG Septic Tank Abatement, Bobby Cato Lift Station Upgrades, and Water System Improvements.

Sealed bids shall be addressed and delivered to City Hall, 1 Avenue E, Apalachicola, Florida 32320. Bid envelopes shall be labeled as "City of Apalachicola CDBG Sealed Bid”.  All bids must be received by the City prior to the deadline of 2:00 p.m. Eastern time on July 7, 2016 to be considered.  The bid opening and reading will be at a public meeting that begins at 2:15 p.m., July 7, 2016, at the Apalachicola Community Center, 1 Bay Avenue, Apalachicola, Florida.

There will be a mandatory Pre-Bid Conference at 10:00 a.m. on June 9, 2016 at the Apalachicola Community Center, 1 Bay Avenue, Apalachicola, FL 32320. Bid bonds of 5% are required.  The contract will require 100% payment and 100% performance bonds.  Federal grant requirements will apply to the contract.

Documents may be inspected at the above Consultant address, or at their office located at 14101 Panama City Beach Pkwy, Suite 110, Panama City Beach, Florida, and also at the Apalachicola City Hall.

Electronic pdf copies of the Contract Documents and plans may be secured from the Consultant at a cost of $50.00 per CD, the cost of which is non-refundable. Shipping will be via USPS standard service unless requested and paid for by contractor.
