May 15-21 marks National EMS Week

The Weems Emergency Medical Service (EMS) staff is fully trained in
responding to heart-related and other medical emergencies. You can definitely
count on this team to provide you with professional emergency care.

On any given day, EMS personnel help save lives by responding to medical emergencies, including heart attacks, difficulty breathing, a fall or accident, drowning, cardiac arrest, stroke, drug overdose or acute illness. EMS may provide both basic and advanced medical care at the scene of an emergency and en route to a hospital.

National EMS Week honors the lifesaving care EMS providers offer nationwide, 24-hours-a-day, seven days a week. This is an opportunity for the residents of Franklin County to recognize the dedication of those who provide front line, day-to-day lifesaving services to the community.
