Apalachicola Gearing Up for Farmers Market at the Mill Pond

Newly constructed open air pavilion at the Mill Pond

Apalachicola is gearing up to start a Farmers Market at the newly constructed pavilion at the Mill Pond located at the end of Market Street less than a mile from the blinking light at the intersection of US Hwy 98 and Market Street.

The market will feature local caught seafood, produce, herbs, honey, homemade breads and pies, along with other regional specialties soon to be offered regularly by growers, bakers, and artisans directly to the community.

The opening day is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 11, 2015, and thereafter every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month also from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

You can browse the market for goodies such as tomato pie, local eggs, homemade jams, jellies, salsa and barbeque sauce, locally-produced soaps, handmade turquoise jewelry, and perennials, while enjoying music with your friends and neighbors in a beautiful setting by the water.

So come on out and relax under the live oaks that grace the Farmers Market on the Mill Pond off Scipio Creek.
