As a mark of respect
for all law enforcement officers who have heroically sacrificed their lives to
protect and defend us, and pursuant to a Presidential Proclamation designating
May 15, 2015 as Peace Officers Memorial Day. I, Rick Scott, Governor of the
Great State of Florida, hereby direct the flags of the United States and the
State of Florida to be flown at half-staff at all local and state buildings,
installations, and grounds throughout the State of Florida from sunrise to
sunset on Friday, May 15, 2015.
On this day, I call
upon all Floridians to honor those who serve in law enforcement and those who
have made the ultimate sacrifice with appropriate ceremonies and activities.
Further, I encourage all Floridians to display the United States and State of
Florida flags at half-staff from their homes and businesses on May 15, 2015.
