Chipley - The telephone number for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Three Headquarters in Chipley is changing beginning Thursday, Nov. 1.
The 850 area code and the last three digits of the current published telephone numbers are being retained, but the telephone number prefix has been switched to 330 followed by the number 1.
For example, the new telephone number for FDOT District Three, (850) 330-1250, retains the last three digits of the old number, (850) 415-9250. All FDOT District Three telephone numbers in Chipley will switch to the new format. The toll free number, (888) 638-0250, will remain.
To help the public transition to the new telephone numbers, the published FDOT District Three telephone numbers will remain until Sunday, Jan. 18, 2013 as the new telephone system is implemented.
FDOT District Three covers 16 counties across Northwest Florida from Escambia County to Jefferson County.
