At the city commission regular scheduled meeting held Nov 2, Apalachicola Municipal Library Board Chair, Susan Clementson reported on behalf of Librarian Caty Greene who were absent from the meeting. Clementson told the commission that Greene attended the Statewide Library Director’s meeting held in Tallahassee.
The report also included library statistics for the month of October during which an estimated 800 to 900 patrons visited the facility.
The library has also placed into service two new public computers, and one laptop for a microfilm station and automation.
In addition, the electrical panel upgrade has been scheduled and the PALS (Library Friends Group) have set an election date for a slate of new officers.
Clementson concluded her report by informing the commission that the library would have a presence at the 47th Annual Seafood Festival with over 90 boxes of reasonable priced used books to sale.
