4th Annual Art Walk

The Apalachicola Bay Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for their 4th Annual Art Walk scheduled for 12:00PM to 5:00PM on Saturday, April 4, 2009, in historic downtown Apalachicola.

Throughout the day, Fine Artists will have on display and lining the sidewalks of downtown Apalachicola their creation of Fine Art while musicians perform live in front of participating businesses.

By definition, Fine Art is the skilled manipulation of some medium resulting in the creation of a beautiful object such as a painting, sculpture, photography, or something created from blown glass.

The Chamber also has lined up on the day free art activities for children from 12:00PM to 4:00PM in the Cotton Exchange building located on Water Street.

They have also scheduled from 3:00PM to 5:00PM, a wine sampling event at the Owl Café, Tamara’s Café Floridita, The Grill, Boss Oyster, That Place in Apalach, The Garden Shop, Verandas, Moma (Gibson Inn), and the Honey Hole. The cost of the sampling event is $15 per person with the Chamber issuing special Art Walk glasses as tickets for this event. Participants can purchase a sampling glass at each sampling station.

Wrapping up the event, from 6:00PM to 9:00PM participating restaurants will prepare at least one menu item that will be their special for the evening that highlights local cuisine. Many of the participating restaurants will have live music on hand to enjoy your meal.
