Flood Mitigation Assistance Plan for Franklin County

Join the staff at the Apalachicola National Estuarine Research Reserve for a public meeting to discuss the Flood Mitigation Assistance Plan for Franklin County.  Come share your thoughts on how to make Franklin County more storm resilient.

The Flood Mitigation Assistance Program (FMAP) provides federal funding to local communities for projects and planning that reduces or eliminates long-term risk of flood damage to structures insured under the National Flood Insurance Program.  Local governments who develop and adopt hazard mitigation plans are eligible to receive certain types of non-emergency disaster assistance, including funding for Hazard Mitigation Assistance mitigation projects.  You can help develop Franklin County’s plan.

WHEN:  June 8th, 2016, 10:00am to 12:00pm

WHERE: Apalachicola National Estuarine Research Reserve, 108 Island Drive, Eastpoint, FL  32328
