Hurricane Irma 9/7/2017 5:39 pm Update from Franklin County Emergency Management


AT THIS TIME:
  • Expected to remain a Category 4 or 5 near landfall
  • Moving between the North Coast of Hispaniola and the Turks
  • The earliest reasonable time of arrival of Tropical Storm Force Winds for Franklin County is around sunrise on Sunday 10% Possibility of receiving Tropical Storm Force Wind Gusts
  • Storm Surge is not expected to be an issue on the current track
  • Rain amounts ARE NOT expected to cause significant flooding
  • Possibility of a shift in the path so be sure to monitor this storm, situations can change daily please be sure to monitor the following resources for up-to-date information
