2015 Spring Break Read Across Apalachicola |
The City of Apalachicola Project Impact, After
School and Summer Enrichment Program has released its schedule for a fun filled
2016 Spring Break Camp, for grades K-12th. The camp will be held at
the City Site, located inside the Johnson Complex from 8:00am – 4:00pm, starting
Monday, March 14 thru Friday, March 18.
On schedule for Monday will be the popular Read
Across Apalachicola, where students will be read to by community leaders in their
offices across town, followed by an ice cream party, arts and pottery workshops,
and sports and gaming.
Tuesday will kick off the day with a field trip
to the Apalachicola National Estuarine Research Reserve over in Eastpoint, a
hot dog cookout will follow, with more arts, pottery, sports and gaming.
Wednesday will feature a field trip to the Orman
House Historic State Park and a picnic on the beautiful grounds of Chapman
Botanical Garden, followed by arts, pottery, sports and gaming.
On Thursday, the program will take an all-day
field trip to Gulf World Marine Park over on Panama City, Beach.
The fun will conclude on Friday with Minecraft Education
video games, a cookout dance party and a sports and gaming tournament.
There will be free lunch and snacks provided to
all students during the camp.
