U.S. Coast Guard Seeks Input on AFC River Management


The United States Coast Guard Sector Mobile has been tasked with completing a Waterways Analysis Management Survey for the Apalachicola, Flint, and Chattahoochee Rivers (AFC). The study will focus on the area's aids to navigation system, waterborne commerce, marine casualty information, port/harbor resources, emergency response plans, routine and emergency communication capabilities, and future development projects.

Any interested company or individual wishing to provide comments or participate in a user survey should see the attached questionnaire. Once completed the questionnaire can either be sent via U.S. Mail or Electronic Mail to:

The input is needed to ensure that all aspects of the waterway are properly evaluated. Those interested in completing the survey have until January 20, 2015 to return the questionnaire.
