holds CNA certificate of completion

The Bridge at Bay St. Joe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, a Signature Healthcare Nursing Company congratulated recent graduates of their Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program at an awards luncheon held today at Pepper's Mexican Grill in Port St. Joe.

Four students successfully completed the training including former Apalachicola resident Kristy Johnson, the eldest daughter of Apalachicola Mayor Van and Gail Johnson.

Johnson commuted from her Panama City home to Port St. Joe over a 5 week period to complete the training and scored high marks on each of her exams, averaging between 88 and 92 per test. She now awaits a date from Prometric, Florida’s testing vendor for the CNA program to take the state exam to obtain certification.  Afterwards, she’s planning on a long and fruitful career in health care and says her ultimate goal is to become a Medical Assistant.

"I'll work as a CNA for now; get some stability, than work my way up the ladder. My goal is to become a Medical Assistant", Johnson said.

Johnson completed her training at the Port St. Joe facility under the instruction of Marcia Dickey, a registered nurse at the center.
