The Franklin County Board of County Commissioners will hold a special meeting at 5:00PM today May 21, 2010 at the Franklin County Courthouse Annex in Apalachicola.
County officials called the special meeting to discuss issues related to the BP Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill.
The County has invited BP and its contractors to attend the meeting and to be prepared to clarify confusion regarding the Vessel of Opportunity and other programs. The County has also asked the U.S. Coast Guard and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection to attend.

The Commission has requested that those individuals with questions related to the BP Oil Spill and preparations and responses to the spill submit their questions in advance to the Franklin County Emergency Operations Center (FCEOC) by noon Friday, May 21.
