Apalachicola artist painting receives Honorable Mention at Atlanta Art Show

Local artist Susan L. Richardson recently took her artwork on the road to the Atlanta Artists Center (AAC) in Atlanta Georgia.  While on exhibition at the AAC, Richardson's painting "Water Street Seafood" received honorable mentioned at the September 2012 Plein Air "People and Places' show, which featured the work of sketch-groups and plein air artists.
 
The Atlanta Artists Center is a 58-year non-profit arts organization dedicated to supporting the growth and exposure of artists in the Southeast.  The organization offers multiple opportunities for personal and professional artistic growth and networking within Atlanta and surrounding communities.  The mission of the Center is to support the growth and development of artists and promote arts within the Atlanta community.

Campground
Another of Richardson's paintings "Campground" was also accepted and hung at the Atlanta show and in June of this year while at home, Richardson held a one-woman art exhibition at the Apalachicola Museum of Art located at 96 5th Street.
