Chipley, FL - Officials from the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) are gearing up to hold three public hearings across the panhandle, on the department’s tentative five year work program. The hearings will be held throughout the district to present and receive input on the work program for fiscal years July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2017 and consider the necessity of making changes to the program.
The hearings are:
· Wednesday, Oct. 5, from 10:00AM to 11:00AM (CDT) in the FDOT Milton Operations Conference Room, 6025 Old Bagdad Highway, Milton. Personnel will discuss and receive input on projects in Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa and Walton counties.
· Thursday, Oct. 6, from 10:00AM to 11:00AM (CDT) in the Bay County Government Center Conference Room 1030, 840 West 11th Street, Panama City, FL. Personnel will discuss and receive input on projects in Bay, Calhoun, Gulf, Jackson, Holmes and Washington counties.
· Monday, Oct. 10, from 11:00AM to 12:00PM (EDT) in the FDOT Midway Operations Center Conference Room, 17 Commerce Blvd, Midway. Personnel will discuss and receive input on projects in Franklin, Gadsden, Liberty, Jefferson, Leon and Wakulla counties.
These Public Hearings are being conducted pursuant to Section 339.135(4)(c), Florida Statutes. The purpose of the public hearings is to consider the Department’s Improved Tentative Work Program for District Three, for the period 2012/2013 through 2016/2017, and to consider the necessity of making any changes to the program.
