Local Artist Susan L.
Richardson will now have four of her most recent work (pictured below) on
display March 1st from 6:00PM - 9:00PM EST at the Gala opening of the 2013
Annual Body of Art sponsored by 1020ART, in Tallahassee - Florida's Capital
City.
Richardson a native of
London, England and an accomplished artist now resides within the City of
Apalachicola a beautiful historic seaport community.
Her work which captures
the essence of the local area has been accepted into juried shows at the
Atlanta Artists Center, where one of her pieces received honourable mention,
the Binders Limelight Show, and the 2011 America's Great Plein Air Paint-out
Quickdraw Contest, where she was chosen best emerging artists for painting a
beautiful beach scene within two-hours.
Richardson's work has
also been displayed at various venues throughout Apalachicola; the most recent
was her June 2012 exhibition at the Apalachicola Museum of Art located at 96 5th
Street.
At 1020ART, all
exhibitions represent the work of local, regional, national and international
artists, with their most popular showcase "The Annual Body of Art"
continuing to grow each year welcoming all mediums... art BY the body, FOR the
body, ON the body, REPRESENTING the body, TO the body, BECAUSE of the body...
all work in celebration of the BODY.
