Make it a night of art!


At The Apalachicola Center for History, Culture (HCA) and Art

A month of art exhibits, demonstrations and inspiring talks from March 1 to March 25, 2017.

Starting Saturday, March 4, from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., HCA Upstairs, “Art and Technology: The Divine Marriage”, the art of Peter and Licia Berry. With a demo of both processes on the computer.  Lecture about fractals with Peter’s work and lecture about the Sacred Feminine in art with Licia’s art and book. From 6:00 p.m – 8:00 p.m. meet and greet, at exhibit opening reception and book signing.

Sunday, March 5, from 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., HCA Upstairs, “The World is Our Oyster: Travel as Art Inspiration” slides of the Berrys’ adventures traveling the continental US pilgrimage in southern France while deriving creative inspiration from different landscapes, cultures and experiences under their philosophy of Juicy Sacred Living. From 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., wine reception and book signing.

Monday, March 6, from 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m., HCA Gallery Tour – HCA Upstairs, Lunch and Learn. “The Evolution of Language and Image”, dissussing right and left brain, use of word and image, and the evolution of these from cave paintings to modern digital art technology. Book signing.

Saturday, March 11, from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., HCA Gallery Tour with Licia and Peter Berry.

Satruday, March 18, from 10:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., HCA Gallery – “Authors of Apalach”.

Saturday, March 25, from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., HCA Gallery Tour with Licia and Peter Berry.

An exhibit of “Super Natural: Art by 5 Women” on display through May 2017, with an opening reception Saturday, March 4, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Super Natural: Art by 5 Women exhibit will focus on the artwork of contemporary women artists' Cynthia Davis, Lori Field, Marcy Lally, Deedra Ludwig and Kathy Van Kleeck and their unrestrained absorption with nature.  Rather than merely ​document beauty, these artists engage in nature's diversity, peculiarities and sometimes unrestrainable character.​
