Apalachicola Youth Center debuts with Spring Break madness


In spite of countless setbacks and obstacles the City of Apalachicola newly renovated youth center will debut with a host of events and activities during Spring Break week beginning March 16 thru March 20, 2015.


The week will be filled with basketball skills training provided by GameSpeed, open gym time, video games, free food and a NCAA Tournament watch party all day long. All the events and activities will be provided to the residents of the City of Apalachicola free of charge.

The City of Apalachicola Youth Center is located at the Mayor Van W. Johnson, Sr., Recreation & Community Service Complex inside the former Apalachicola High School Gymnasium.  The renovation of the facility and its current operation as a youth center was made possible through a public-private partnership between the City of Apalachicola and Kids United Together, Inc., a Florida Non Profit Corporation headed by Helen Willis-Escobar.
