The Apalachicola Bay Chamber of Commerce announced plans today for the annual Christmas celebration in downtown Apalachicola.  In keeping with local tradition the events has been scheduled for the day after Thanksgivings Day, Friday, Nov. 28.

As has become customary Santa will arrive at beautiful Riverfront Park in downtown Apalachicola around 4:00 pm via shrimp boat, where he will visit until 8:00 pm with children both young and old .  This year each child visiting Santa will receive a hot dog and a drink also courtesy of the Chamber.

Following on Saturday, Nov. 29 will be "Shop Small Saturday" throughout the City of Apalachicola to promote locally independent owned small businesses. Santa will also be on hand from 1:00-3:00 pm to visit our four legged family members also at Riverfront Park.

Area residents and visitors are encouraged to take in the glitter and excitement of downtown Apalachicola during the celebration and to also take advantage of the holiday specials offered by many of the merchants.
