Resilience Funding Opportunity Partners Scientists with Research Reserves

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is currently seeking proposal on a $20 million, five-year funding opportunity that will foster resilient coastal communities and strengthen informed decision-making through the use of the nation's 28 National Estuarine Research Reserves.  Florida has three Estuarine Research Reserves one of which is the Apalachicola National Estuarine Research Reserve (ANERR) located in Eastpoint, the other two are Rookery Bay and Matanzas.

University, state, and nonprofit researchers are eligible to apply with proposals due March 31, 2014. Successful applicants will partner with the reserves to support collaborative research, training, communications, and data sharing.

This opportunity is offered through NOAA's Office of Ocean and Coastal Resource Management.
