highlighting the reading of the Emancipation Proclamation at the Apalachicola
Maritime Museum Civil War History Weekend event held Saturday, May 18, 2013 at
downtown Riverfront Park in Historic Apalachicola.
The
reading was accompanied by Pastor Barry Hand and the very talented Mt. Zion
Missionary Baptist Church Choir singing in the background, while Steve and
Patrick Jones portrayed slaves newly freed from bondage by Abraham Lincoln's
Presidential Proclamation.
