Trinity Church gearing up for Annual Historic Tour of Homes

Plans are underway for the 21st Annual “Historic Apalachicola Home & Garden Tour” sponsored by Trinity Episcopal Church.

The tour is expected to draw hundreds of visitors to Apalachicola, a historic seaport community over the two day event scheduled to kick-off Friday, May 3, 2013, with the 2nd Annual Preservation Symposium followed by the Home Tour on Saturday, May 4, 2013, from 10:00AM to 4:00PM EST.

The featured house for the 2013 tour is the pictured 100 year old home of Ed and Candace Springer, constructed of hard pine in 1913, by Dave Maddox for Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Flowers.

The theme for 2013, “At Home in Apalach” runs the gamut from spacious and graceful century-old houses and charming bungalows to contemporary ones with new energy sources.

Visitors to Apalachicola can enhance their weekend experience by allowing time to visit the many historical buildings, churches, museums, inns and parks that mark this historic town as a truly unique place.
