On Saturday afternoon, the Franklin’s Promise Coalition hosted a well-attended Old Fashioned Halloween Carnival overlooking the Apalachicola River at Riverfront Park on Water Street.

The carnival featured games, children activities, entertainment, and prizes along with the Sheriff Department’s Dare Officer handing out plenty of sweet treats. WOYS 100.5 Oyster Radio was on hand as were one of Franklin County’s newest non-profit organizations “Bring me a Book” with their read aloud to children program.
Both the Franklin County Tourist Development Council and the City of Apalachicola supported the event to help benefit the Franklin County Food Pantry and the Community Development and Land Trust Corporation for affordable housing.
