City’s dilemma discussed on Alabama talk show

Chris Hand, owner of the website “Save R Gulf” recently passed through the City of Apalachicola on his way to Birmingham to make a guest appearance on the local ABC Morning Show called “Talk of Alabama”.

The website Save R Gulf is a grassroots effort of Hand and his family to bring attention to the cleanup and planning needed along the Gulf of Mexico in the wake of the worst environmental disaster in the history of this country.

While in the area, Hand stayed long enough to interview several local residents concerning the impact the BP oil spill was having on their lives and on the community.

In his July 15 guest appearance on the show, Hand highlighted the frustration Apalachicola faced while trying to obtain support to protect the Apalachicola Bay estuary.
