In her monthly presentation before the city commission, Apalachicola Bay Chamber of Commerce executive director Anita Grove gave commissioners the following report at their Sept 8 meeting.Grove told commissioners that the chamber along with Gulf Coast Community College was hosting a free Social Media Workshop on Wednesday, Sept 23 from 5:30PM to 7:00PM at the Apalachicola Battery Park Community Center.
J.P. Ferrell, vice president and partner of 5th Gear Creative Group out of Dothan and Panama City will be conducting the interactive workshop on social media such as Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter, YouTube, and other online social networks.
“If there’s enough interest shown in the workshop, we’ll get him back to conduct a class”, Grove said.
Grove also announced the upcoming “Forgotten Coast Community Yard Sale”, set for Saturday, October 3, starting at 8:00AM.
Non-profits, individuals, and businesses will setup alongside US Highway 98 from Mexico Beach to Panacea to sell their wares in one gigantic yard sale.
