A freeze warning is now in effect for Coastal Franklin, Coastal Jefferson, Coastal Wakulla Coastal Taylor and Coastal Dixie Counties from 10:00 P.M. this evening to 10:00 A.M. EST Wednesday morning.
- Temperature: Lows 29 to 32 degrees.
- Duration: 2 to 5 hours below freezing.
- Precautionary/Preparedness Action
A freeze warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.
Please check on your elderly neighbors to make sure that will be safe and warm. Pets should be brought indoors early. Precautions should be taken to protect cold sensitive plants and vegetation. Make sure your smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors are in working order. Never leave a portable heating source unattended. Keep all flammable materials a safe distance from heaters.
