The newly organized Franklin Neighborhood Association headed by Myrtis Wynn will be hosting its first Community Fun Day at the 6th Street Franklin Square Recreation Park from 1:00PM to 7:00PM - Saturday, September 8, 2013.
The event will highlight music by Hi-Fi Entertainment, a basketball tournament, a water slide, and plenty of games for the kids.
Community organizations, churches, and individuals are welcome to set up to sell food, have a yard sale, fundraiser, or any other activity to help make the event a success or if you desire you can just simply tailgate with your family and friends for an afternoon of fun and music.

The organization will also be holding a meeting prior to the Fun Day festivities at 11:00AM Saturday, September 8, 2012, inside the 6th Street Recreation Center. All is invited to attend.
