What you need to know to vote today

Today, November 2, is Election Day! Make sure to get out and vote. Voting is simple, but if you have any questions, here's an outline of helpful information and please don’t forget that the polls close at 7:00PM EDT.

What do I need to bring?
According to Florida Statues you will be required to show a photo and signature identification in order to vote in the election. Your Voter Information card cannot be used as identification at the polls. However, the following identifications have been approved.

- Florida driver's license
- Florida identification card issued by the DMV
- United States passport
- Debit or credit card
- Military identification
- Student identification
- Retirement center identification.
- Neighborhood association identification
- Public assistance identification

If the picture identification does not contain the signature of the voter, an additional identification that provides the voter's signature shall be required.

NOTE: Voters who cannot produce identification will vote a provisional ballot.

What’s a Provisional Ballot?
Provisional ballots are ballots cast by voters who come to the polls without the required identification or find their names missing from the rolls. The ballot isn’t counted until an official determination is made concerning your eligibility to vote.

How do I mark my ballot?
- Use the pen provided in the voting booth at the polls.
- Mark only one choice per race. (Unless indicated otherwise)

NOTE: Franklin County uses the M100 Voting System to tabulate your marked ballot.
