Historic Apalachicola to host summer concert series

Starting this Saturday, May 29 at 6:00PM EDT the Franklin’s Promise Coalition will be sponsoring a concert at Riverfront Park in Historic Apalachicola.

Saturday’s event will jumpstart a series of three performances, with the others scheduled for July 3, and September 4 also at 6:00. The concerts are free to attend, however VIP seating will be available for a donation.

The proceeds will be used to benefit the BAY AID Franklin Disaster Relief Fund, the Apalachicola Volunteer Fire Department and the Franklin’s Promise Coalition and Food Pantry.

Franklin’s Promise Coalition is a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization operated by volunteers. The goal of the Coalition is to coordinate available resources within Franklin County to address unmet and ongoing needs.

The featured entertainment for Saturday, May 29 concert will be Crooked Shooz, a five-piece high-energy old-school rhythm and blues band based out of Tallahassee.

This series of summer concerts are sponsored by the Franklin’s Promise Coalition in collaboration with the Franklin County Tourist Development Council, Oyster Radio Station and the City of Apalachicola.
