The City of Apalachicola is committed to encouraging new investments and fresh opportunities for commerce through the economic redevelopment of the area that was traditional known as the African-American community’s business district.
To accomplish this goal, your city leadership will use the newly reactivated Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) and Tax Increment Financing to fund needed infrastructure improvements in the area. This method will enable your local government to make improvements in the district as an incentive to attract private investments that would not otherwise occur.
