Package Store in Historic North Side

Dear Mayor:

I too am deeply concerned about the opening of a package store/bar/restaurant that is being proposed on the corner of 8th and Ave I. I do not think that this would be a positive step for our north side community. I have lived in the north side for over 4 years now, full time, and I am concerned about loitering and crime in our neighborhood. I wish that the property owner would greatly re-consider and think of another option for his C2 lot. A residential neighborhood in which the citizens have worked so hard to restore historic homes is not the area to put up a package store/bar, particularly one that may not adhere to historic guidelines.
