Main Street Program

City Officials and Staff are collaborating with local downtown merchants to achieve national accreditation as a Main Street Program. Throughout the nation, communities are using the Main Street approach to revitalize their traditional commercial districts. The objective of accreditation is to help garner the necessary attention that will attract new businesses and more visitors to the downtown area.

Main Street Programs work well when combined with Community Redevelopment and Historic Preservation to restore prosperity and vitality to downtown areas and commercial districts.
